General Information / Changes

A direct port of the arcade version of the same name.
First CS DanceDanceRevolution game to use an options menu instead of unlock codes for modifiers. However, modifiers may only be set at the beginning of each game; they cannot be changed afterwards.
First CS DanceDanceRevolution game to feature speed modifiers.
First CS DanceDanceRevolution game not to feature on-screen dancers.

Unlock Commands

Super Maniac Single and Maniac Double difficulties: On the title screen (with the flashing PRESS START), press right, left, right, left, down, down, up, up, left, right. If entered successfully, the title screen background should change to red.
- All difficulty ratings of these modes are displayed as five question marks.
Free Single and Free Double difficulties: On the title screen (with the flashing PRESS START), press up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right. If entered successfully, the title screen background should change to green.
- All difficulty ratings of these modes are displayed as a single question mark.

Gameplay Features

In addition to the uniqueness of having an almost entirely 3rd party songlist, the two Japanese Dancing Stage home releases are the only releases to ever have partial foot ratings, such as 6.5. In addition, the use of modifiers changes the foot rating depending on which modifiers you use. Unlike most DDR games, however, you cannot change the modifiers after you select your first song, so choose carefully.

CELEBRATE NITE and SEXY PLANET are not true unlocks in the sense that most DDR players are used to them. Once you finish your first song, the TKD song you played is replaced with CELEBRATE NITE on the song list, so you cannot play the same song back-to-back. Similarly, your second song will be replaced by SEXY PLANET. After you finish your game, the songs will return to their respective places on the songlist and you can play again.

Welcome to compare mode, this displays all songs in both games (as well as unlocks and DLC).

If a song appears in both games it is coloured ORANGE.
The songs that appear only in Dancing Stage featuring TRUE KISS DESTINATION are BLUE.
The songs that appear only in Dance Dance Revolution GB are PURPLE.
