- Choose Your Skills - As players progress they can invest in any of five special Skill Trees: Mastermind, Enforcer, Ghost, Technician and Fugitive. Each features a deep customization tree of associated skills and equipment to master, and they can be mixed and matched to create the ultimate heister.
- More Masks than Ever - PAYDAY 2 features a completely new mask system, giving players the ability to craft their own unique mask together with a pattern and a color combination, resulting in millions of different combinations.
- Weapons and Modifications - A brand new arsenal for the serious heister, covering everything from sniper and assault rifles to compact PDWs and SMGs. Once you've settled for a favorite, you can modify it with optics, suppressors, fore grips, reticles, barrels, frames, stocks and more, all of which will affect the performance of your weapon. There are also purely aesthetic enhancements - why not go for the drug lord look with polished walnut grips for your nine?
- Play It Your Way - Each job allows for multiple approaches, such as slow and stealthy ambushes, to running in guns blazing. Hit the target any way you want, and watch as the heist unfolds accordingly.
- New Game Content All the Time - More than 70 updates since release and still going strong with new heists, characters, weapons and other gameplay features like driving cars and forklifts. Every month offers new free content and paid DLC as PAYDAY 2 continues to be developed by the OVERKILL crew until at least 2017.

It includes an eclectic collection of tracks composed for trailers, teasers, short movies and websites. Written and produced by OVERKILL's celebrated composer Simon Viklund, the OVERKILL B-Sides album ranges from British punk to the Wild West by way of traditional Croatian folk. As PAYDAY 2 grows, the soundtrack grows with it, and new tracks are added for free. Additional music can be downloaded for free at our official Bandcamp website.

The Alesso Heist DLC is the 23rd DLC pack for PAYDAY 2 and is a collaboration with the DJ Alesso. Navigate through the Gensec arena, quiet or loud, and keep the show going while trying to crack Gensec's state of the art exhibition vaults containing loads of cash. The Alesso Heist DLC is designed together with Alesso and features his new song named PAYDAY, adrenaline filled combat and tense stealthing in the home arena of the Starbreeze Suns hockey team. It also comes with the high power and low recoil revolver Matever .357, 4 masks inspired by Alesso's shows, 4 patterns, 4 materials and 5 achievements.

PAYDAY 2 is back with a brand new heist DLC, taking us back to the time of the events of Hell's Island. The DLC includes one main story heist (Border Crossing) and also an additional heist (Border Crystal) taking place in the same location.Border Crossing
While the Payday Gang is preparing to hit Hell's Island, they find out that their old enemies Murkywater and the Dentist are in the process of moving large amounts of money and illicit merchandise from the US to Mexico, using a secret tunnel across the border. The gang decides to divide their forces as they formulate a plan to strike at this border operation.
Border Crossing is playable in both stealth and loud mode and also allows players to customize their tactics further through pre-planning options. The action takes place in two separate locations, on both sides of the US/Mexico border.Border Crystal
Border Crystal is a smaller heist full of intense action, as the Payday Gang strikes at a Mexican cartel operation south of the border. The objective is to penetrate the area and then defend against waves of enemies, while cooking as much meth as possible to secure that personal pension fund.
This heist takes place in the same location as the second part of Border Crossing, but presenting a different scenario.
This DLC is also part of the Border Crossing BundlePart of the "PAYDAY 2: Border Crossing Bundle".
